Frequently Asked Questions

At Trenchcore Plumbing, we’re a local business certified by the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board. We pride ourselves on punctuality and are willing to stay late to ensure the job is done right. Our prices are competitive, and if you find a lower rate elsewhere, let us know—we’ll work to match it and earn your business.

Grease trap cleaning should be scheduled regularly. Don’t wait until your grease trap is overflowing and your plumbing lines are backed up to call for service. While Trenchcore Plumbing does offer emergency services, please note that these come with additional fees. To keep your grease trap running efficiently, book your service in advance and on a regular basis.

Service appointments are scheduled based on your chosen frequency. After the initial service of your grease trap, Trenchcore Plumbing will establish a regular service schedule to ensure your trap remains in optimal condition. You can adjust the service frequency at any time to suit your needs.

The cost of our services varies depending on the specific service provided. Grease trap cleaning typically ranges from $125 to $625, with the price based on the size of the grease trap. High-pressure water jetting of grease trap lines is an additional $100 when performed during a grease trap service. Annual inspections for the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans are free for all recurring grease trap customers, while non-recurring customers are charged $100.

At Trenchcore Plumbing, we offer a full range of payment options. We accept cash, check, credit or debit card, and money order. Payment is generally due upon completion of services. However, we do provide payment terms for our regular, recurring, and scheduled customers.

A grease trap should be serviced at least every 90 days or when it reaches 25 percent discharge into the city’s sanitary sewer system. Most grease traps and interceptors, if properly sized, typically require servicing every 8 to 12 weeks. However, the optimal service frequency for your grease trap depends on several factors that should be discussed with your grease trap cleaning service provider.

At Trenchcore Plumbing, we provide cooking oil containment bins at no extra charge. Our bins are serviced weekly and/or bi-weekly, offering efficient containment to accommodate your cooking oil disposal needs for a predefined period. If your disposal requirements increase and you need a larger bin, we’re happy to upgrade you to a more suitable container.

At Trenchcore Plumbing, we make scheduling as easy and convenient as possible. You can book appointments online, by email, or by calling us directly at either 504-919-6699 or (281) 407-0097.

The average time for a grease trap service is approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the condition of the trap and the time since its last cleaning. High-pressure water jetting of the lines typically adds an extra 20-30 minutes, depending on the build-up within the lines. Annual S&WBNO inspections for FOG Ordinance 16.5 require about 30-45 minutes and must be conducted at the time of the grease trap service.

Yes, we offer emergency services. For services required within 48 hours of booking, additional fees apply: $150 during normal business hours, $175 outside of normal business hours, and $250 on holidays. The emergency fee is added to the normal service fee, and payment for all emergency service requests is due upon completion of the service.

Waste vegetable and used cooking oil recycling is completely free of charge, and in many cases, we even compensate our customers for each gallon of quality used cooking oil collected. There are no fees for the containment, collection, or recycling of used cooking oil. However, if you use our recycling bins for non-cooking oil waste such as griddle grease, BBQ fat drippings, lard, or other similar waste, we will charge for the disposal of these non-cooking oil liquids.

Send us a message and we’ll be happy to respond in a prompt manner.
